Performance

In 2023, select trims offered inline-four or industrial V6 engines making 159 horsepower and 278 horsepower respectively. In 2024, most trim levels are equipped with a 2.4-liter turbo four-cylinder engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission, which produces 228 horsepower for the base SR trim. This output increases to 270 horsepower with a six-speed manual transmission and 278 horsepower with an eight-speed automatic transmission for other trims. Additionally, a hybrid I-Force Max engine is available, delivering up to 326 horsepower combined. All Tacoma trucks for both model years feature a body-on-frame design and are available with either a leaf spring suspension or a coil spring suspension.

Appearance

The redesigned 2024 Tacoma boasts a modern and robust look characterized by sharply defined fenders and deep grooves along the sides. The sculpted hood maintains its height, accommodating a wide grille and a commanding lower fascia. The headlights feature a distinctive look with flares angling both upward and downward. Select trims for 2023 and 2024 come with exterior enhancements such as a hood scoop, all-terrain tires, a skid plate, a sunroof, heated side mirrors, and more.

Features

The revamped Tacoma also showcases interior updates, including a 7-inch digital display cluster, a head-up display, heated and cooled front seats, and a 12.3-inch digital central display screen. Some trims feature leather upholstery, heated seats, a JBL sound system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, dual-zone automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped and heated steering wheel, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, keyless entry, keyless ignition, rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera system, and more.
