Toyota '100 Cars for Good' Voting Underway

Here at Tansky Toyota, we like seeing all the ways Toyota helps out with charitable works across the nation. For us, we've had a particular interest in the '100 Cars for Good' program, now in its second year. It's pretty straightforward, Toyota is giving away 100 cars to 100 worthy nonprofit groups in 100 days, and we're encouraging drivers in the Dublin area to participate in the philanthropic event.

Now that all the applications are in, Toyota whittled the list down to 500 finalists. Voting began on May 14, and runs for 100 days from that point, meaning the '100 Cars for Good' program ends August 22. Each day, Toyota posts five candidates on its '100 Cars for Good' Facebook page. Those who are a fan of the page and "Like" it, can vote for the finalist they believe should win daily.

The nonprofit group who wins the daily voting then receives a new Toyota from a predetermined list that includes a hybrid, minivan, SUV or truck among others. Those who finish has runners-up won't go home empty handed either. Toyota will give each one a $1,000 grant to help their efforts in their local communities.

So, since you're probably wondering, which models will the 100 winners be able to receive? Well, there's the 2012 Toyota Highlander, or the Toyota Tundra which will certainly help those who need to move supplies from one place to another. There's also the Toyota Prius which would be a good choice for winners who take a more environmental approach to their nonprofit work.
