Toyota Places Three on List of Top Family Cars

For families in the greater Dublin area, buying a new car requires a lot of research. Figuring out which models are family-friendly, safe, efficient, and affordable are just some of the many things taken into account. Thankfully, there are big publications like Parents magazine, who have teamed up with auto reviewers Edmunds to make things easier, as they've compiled a list of the top 15 family vehicles. Of course, if we're blogging about it here at Tansky Toyota, that means there are new Toyota vehicles that made the cut, and of course, we're going to share them with you.

The three vehicles that received Parents seal of approval were the Toyota Prius, Sienna and Camry. It's the fifth year in a row at least one Toyota model has been honored by the magazine, which also values durability along with safety, efficiency and fit for the families.

The Toyota Prius might seem like an odd fit, but with its host of new trim options, including the Prius v wagon, there's enough room for the family, supplies, along with excellent fuel economy, as each edition of the Toyota hybrid offers over 40 miles per gallon. That will certainly give drivers flexibility as they can save money on gas, and go on family vacation this summer.

The minivan has long been the traditional family ride, and the Toyota Sienna certainly will have all your bases covered, providing enough power and entertainment features that gives the van much more style. Inside there is plenty of room for kids, gear, and more with seating up to eight. Two engine options are available, starting with a 2.7-liter four-cylinder, and a 3.5-liter V6, each coming in front- or all-wheel drive.

Last but not least, the Toyota Camry sedan. It's not only popular with drivers everywhere, but it also has plenty of family-friendly features too. Among them is the Entune infotainment system, which allows for music streaming, hands-free calling and access to many other apps at the touch of a button on the steering wheel. On top of that, the Camry is efficient, with an EPA-estimated 25 miles per gallon city and 35 mpg on the highway. The vehicle also comes available in a standard four-cylinder engine with 178 horsepower, while drivers can also kick it up a notch with a V6 that churns out 268 horsepower on a 3.5-liter engine.
