Toyota Will Turn Profit in Europe

Success through sustainability. That seems to be the latest motto under which Toyota is operating, particularly within the European market. And while the automaker certainly has a large hand in green driving thanks to hybrids such as the Toyota Prius, we're actually using "sustainable" to refer to the longevity of the company's business model.

In an effort to sell one million new Toyota vehicles in Europe over the next few years, company officials will employ a strong but steady approach rather than rushing out volumes upon volumes of vehicles in a short amount of time. Thanks to a complete recovery from last year's devastating natural disasters, it's looking like Toyota is already well on its way.

At the recent Geneva Auto Show, Didier Leroy, CEO of Toyota Europe, confidently proclaimed, "Yes, definitely we have recovered. We don't have any shortages any more, no supply problems anymore."1 In fact, Didier mentions that all Toyota plants are now operating at well over 60-percent production capacity.

As part of its strategy moving forward, Toyota Europe is set to introduce a hybrid version of the Toyota Yaris compact. Arriving at European dealerships come June, the Yaris hybrid model will be produced in France and build off of the gas-only Yaris model's sales. Also fed to European consumers this spring will come a seven-seat hybrid dubbed the Prius Plus.

While all this information is extremely positive, Tansky Toyota knows that you're looking for Toyota vehicles in the Dublin area, not Europe. Thankfully, we have a comprehensive selection of new and used Toyota models at 6300 Sawmill Rd Dublin, OH 43017. Feel free to swing by anytime or contact us online to set up a test drive in advance.
