It is important for automakers to support environmentally-friendly initiatives within the industry. But it's also imperative that they support green effort within other industries as well. Think about it. We all know that the auto companies are working hard to integrate new sustainable practices and Tansky Toyota certainly pats them on the back for that. Thankfully, it appears that Toyota thoroughly understands this concept as the automaker once again chose to act as the presenting sponsor of the Environmental Media Awards (EMA).

Unlike most Hollywood award shows, this one highlights television shows and films that communicate positive, highly influential environmental messages. This year's show marked the EMA's 21^st anniversary and included nominations such as Disneynature African Cats, The Other Guys, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, The Biggest Loser and The Good Wife. Among the winners were the film Yogi Bear and the TV shows CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Futurama. In addition, Justin Timberlake, communications exec Marc Nathanson, the Producers Guild of America and SoCal Edison were also honored for their contributions to environmental awareness.

Held at the Warner Bros. Studio in Los Angeles, the awards show featured a complete lineup of Toyota hybrid vehicles. Stars and attendees got a look at the 2012 Prius v as well as a preview of the yet-to-be-released 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid, 2012 Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid, and Toyota RAV4 EV prototype.
