Toyota Supports Youth with Holiday Donation
We at Tansky Toyota can't think of anything better than hearing heartwarming stories around the holiday season. This is especially so when the stories involve our favorite automaker. For the turn of 2011 into 2012, Toyota has really stepped up its giving game and bestowed a total of $302,620 upon The Boys and Girls Club of America.
In order to raise enough money to truly make a difference, Toyota Financial Services (TFS) teamed up with two auto remarketing firms: ADESA and Norwalk Auto Auctions. Throughout the month of December, TFS pledged $50 to the Boys and Girls Club for every Toyota vehicle sold through one of the two venues. On top of the TFS donation, ADESA and Norwalk each pledged $15 to $25 as well.
Just as each new Toyota vehicle brings consumers a sense of security and peace of mind, so does the Boys and Girls Club for families within many different communities. Mike Reid, National Remarketing Manager at TFS expresses, "I'm incredibly proud to work for an organization that recognizes the need to assist youth, especially those in under-served communities."1
More specifically, The Boys and Girls Club of America provides programs to assist youth in the areas of academic support, career enrichment, health, sports, arts, fitness and character development. It's comforting to know that Toyota is working to do what they can to help our nation's youth. After all, in order for the automaker to continue to release innovative products it will need the support of strong future leaders.
